You’re the face of STEF!
Behind the wheel of our LGVs, with a constant smile on your face, you drive as efficiently, safely and considerately as possible at all times.
You look after the goods being transported, comply with health and safety rules and deadlines, and assist with loading and unloading, making sure that vehicle and temperature checks are carried out and reporting any concerns to the right people at the right time. Not to mention optimising journey times and routes and keeping everyone in the loop.
It’s important to manage all the necessary paperwork, of course, but at STEF, it’s your people skills that make all the difference!
Ready to hit the road?
What skills are we looking for?
Ideally, you have a valid LGV Cat C Licence, as well as a valid Driver CPC Qualification Card and a fully functional Drivers Tachograph Card. What’s more, you’re well-versed in driver rules and regulations and food safety and health and safety procedures.
You’re organised, work well under pressure and are able to adapt to fluid targets and deadlines, using your initiative to make sure key tasks are completed on time.
You also have excellent people skills, not to mention your attention to detail and ability to analyse and interpret data.
Last but not least, you know what it means to work flexibly and unsupervised for long periods of time.
And afterwards, what are the prospects?
Once you have a few years’ experience, and if you have the desire and the necessary teaching skills, you can move on to other professions, such as driving instructor or operational professions.
